Personal Announcement from CM Trustee Bob Sagoo
Many of you will know or have heard about our son Harchie and the amazing person he is, and if you had the opportunity to meet him you would definitely know that and so much more.
That is why this is so hard to say…
It is with great sadness that we announce that Harchie passed on the 18th December 2024.
Harchie had a tremendous appreciation for life and taught us so much about living in the moment.
Many of you that have met him will remember his laugh and great sense of humour, along with the empathy and kindness he always had for others.
He is truly loved by all, and Harchie loved and cared for everyone close to him.
Through the way he approached life and his work, Harchie changed many lives for the better.
Harchie was a keen supporter of Communication Matters, and has attended the conference on numerous occasions – both as a presenter and in support of SmartBox AT in the launch of their new GridPad in 2024.
He loved the atmosphere at CM and in particular engaging with fellow delegates and exhibitors during the conference, including the Conference Dinner, and most definitely in the bar and on the dance floor!
We remember his response to a question put to him as to what he enjoyed the most at conference and his answer was “no one stared at anyone”.
He truly felt at ease with his fellow delegates and that is certainly something CM will continue to nurture and protect.
Through his work and activities as a flag bearer for the Assistive Technology sector he felt that by sharing his experiences and thoughts when presenting both in the UK and internationally, he could help make a difference.
His work will continue…
A service will take place for Harchie on Wednesday 22nd January 2025 at Bramcote Crematorium, Coventry Lane, Nottingham NG9 3GJ at 11am. All are welcome.
