Job Vacancy: Two Assistive Technologist Posts
Craig-y-Parc School – Full Time Permanent, Circa £20,520
This post will work with both the Education/Therapy teams at Craig-Y-Parc School and the integrated Technology team based at Scope’s FE College – Beaumont College, in Lancaster. Note that in the early stages of this role extensive travel to Beaumont College and other Scope units will be required. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new role that integrates education, therapeutic approaches, mainstream IT and Assistive Technology. A suitable candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills and interest as well as showing evidence of outstanding interpersonal and social skills. Experience of the application of technology to learning and/or a personal experience of disability will be a distinct advantage. This role will involve the provision of assistive technology based assessment, training and on-going support to the staff and students at the School. The post holder is expected to work in collaboration with a number of other professionals in order to deliver a highly personalised service to Scope’s service users. A willingness to undertake further training is expected. Note that if the successful applicant in not in position of a basic teaching qualification they will be expected to obtain this as a condition of their employment. Possession of a full UK driving licence is required.
Scope Central Region based at Meldreth Manor School – One Year Fixed Term, Circa £20,520.
This post will work with both the Education/Therapy teams at Meldreth Manor School/Orchard Manor (and other regional services) and the integrated Technology team based at Scope’s FE College – Beaumont College, in Lancaster. Note that extensive travel to Beaumont College and other Scope units will be required. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new role that integrates education, therapeutic approaches, mainstream IT and Assistive Technology. A suitable candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills and interest as well as showing evidence of outstanding interpersonal and social skills.
