Communication Matters respects your right to privacy. We put in place security measures for your personal data and manage your personal data in accordance with applicable data privacy regulations.

Please note that Communication Matters is the Data Controller of your personal data. The principles set out in this Privacy Notice apply to all instances in which Communication Matters receives your personal data as a Data Controller for the purposes described in this notice. Those purposes are processing of data in order to participate in the various activities available on this website or as mentioned below.

We collect:

  • questions, queries or feedback you leave, including your email address if you contact Communication Matters
  • your name and email address when you sign up to our email alerts
  • details provided on event booking forms or membership forms
  • your Internet Protocol (IP) address, and details of which version of web browser you used

  • This data can be viewed by authorised people in Communication Matters to:

    • gather feedback to improve our services, for example our email alerts

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide while visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this Privacy Policy. Disclosing your information

We won’t share your information with any other organisations for marketing, market research or commercial purposes, and we don’t pass on your details to other websites. We will only pass on your personal information to other organisations if you have given us permission or we have a legal obligation to do so (e.g. financial query from HMRC).

Keeping your data secure

Sending information over the internet is generally not completely secure, and we can’t guarantee the security of your data while it’s in transit.

How long will we keep your data?
