The time has come again to request nominations for Trustees for the next term in the life of Communication Matters. This is a role which demands stamina, commitment and skill mixing but which can be very stimulating and enlightening!

This year there will be four vacant places to be filled and the opportunity of appointing a further three Co-opted Trustees as appropriate. The announcement of Trustees will take place at the Annual Meeting on Sunday 9 September 2018 at the University of Leeds, during the Communication Matters International AAC Conference.

DEADLINE EXTENDED - CAUK Symbol Consultation

Submitted by Manager on 5 February 2018 - 12:15pm

The deadline for the 2nd stage of the Symbol Consultation for Communication Access UK has been extended!

In early 2017 we asked people, including those affected by communication difficulties for their opinions. We had over 3000 responses! We found out that:

  • People with communication difficulties don't always get the support they need in the community
  • People would like a Communication Access symbol in the UK

We asked people to choose an idea for a symbol to represent communication access. There 2 ideas that were the most popular.
