Logan Technologies Ltd – a company which brings easy to use communication support for the classroom and beyond.
The Logan® Proxtalker® is an easy to use communication device that encourages independent verbal picture communication. Launched in the UK in 2009, the ProxTalker has had huge appeal as both a communication device and a teaching support tool, to help a wide range of children who struggle to input verbally in the classroom. Originally designed to manage transition from PECS to verbal communication in autism, the ProxTalker is being used in a wide range of ways with both children and adults as they transition from school or acquire communication difficulties in later life e.g. post stroke. It is so easy and quick to set up that everybody finds lots of innovative applications for its use: 1:1 communication, instant choice making in any setting, supporting literacy and language development, verbal support for visual timetabling and choice making, verbal support for activity sessions. Here is a testimony from one of our customers: "I am really thrilled with the progress I see from my student with this system. He's building 5 word sentences, looking through his whole book and really exploring language with this vs. the PECS pics we were using. It is also SO user friendly and the parent training was smooth and unintimidating for his mother. I haven't been this excited about an AAC device, well, ever!"
