Summary

A humorous, yet touching, DVD commissioned and presented by Callup, a support group for AAC users in Liverpool. The presentation aims at sharing common issues and experiences with other AAC users, their carers and the professionals they encounter. Callup members, ranging in age from late teens to their eighties, use AAC either as a consequence of lifelong need or acquired condition.

As well as commissioning and participating in the filming, group members have decided on its content, composed the music and written the poetry. This will be of interest to AAC users and those who work with them. It will also be of interest to anyone planning to start up a support group or looking at examples of good practice when consulting service users.
