Summary

This session will present the graphic organizer 'The Story Grammar Marker' which can be adapted to help AAC users use symbol based catagories to retell stories that have heard and create stories of their own. By using a symbols based graphic organizer, the user can be prompted to location of category organized vocabulary, enabling them to focus more on the content of the story and less on navigation. This session will also demonstrate the value of pictures and video can be used with the Story Grammar Marker to aid in the retelling of stories.
