Communication Support World Network (CSWN) Newsletter

We have been sent the newsletter from the new Communication Support World Network (CSWN). This exciting project is a development of the old 'Augmentative Communication World Network'. The new name reflects the strengthening international connections that are developing. The newsletter contains lots of information from across the world on developing services for people who use AAC. In the first issue for instance it has reports that cover the Phillipines, MIddle East and parts of Africa.

Election 2015: Letters From David Cameron On Specialised Services

Just ahead of the 2015 General Election, the leaders of the Conservative and Labour parties responded to an open letter signed by 56 members of the Specialised Healthcare Alliance (SHCA) on the need for continued national commissioning of specialised services. CM is a member of the group and is closely involved in lobbying, represented by our Chair Catherine Harris.

Call for Trustees 2015

An exciting opportunity to help drive the work of Communication Matters forward.

This year there will be four vacancies on the Board of Trustees - three trustees are standing down as their term of office will be completed this year but they are all willing to stand for re-election. Election and announcement of voted trustees will take place at the Annual Meeting on Sunday 13 September 2015 at the University of Leeds, during the Communication Matters National AAC Conference.
