CM2017 Call for Papers

You are invited to submit an abstract for the Communication Matters 2017 National AAC Conference. The closing date for submissions is 28th April 2017.

Papers can be submitted as either a platform presentation or a poster. We particularly welcome contributions from people who use AAC and family members.

AAC & Literacy Best Practice Study Day - 28th April 2017

The first of a series of 3 literacy & AAC (/SLCN) days is planned for Friday April 28th. The days will address the needs of children in special school and mainstream school & kickstart a special interest group with subsequent days planned. The days will be suitable for professionals and family members.

From time to time, Communication Matters offers small non-recurrent grants of up to £200 to applicants in the UK. One area that CM Trustees would consider for support would be for attending an event in a country where AAC is less well developed. One such event coming up next year is the ECERAAC conference, taking place in Bucharest in July 2017. If you would like to present at this conference, applying for a small grant to help with associated expenses is something you could consider. You can find out more here:
