3. Assistive and Mainstream Technologies Questionnaire

From Nadine Grinberg, Foundation ASSIST - Assistive Technologies:

We would like to invite you to participate in an online survey for professionals working in Social Service Providers for Persons with disabilities. The survey aims to study the usage of Assistive Technology in Social Services for Persons with Disability.

The study is carried out in several European countries by "ASSIST – Assistive Technologies" (www.assistfoundation.eu), a Bulgarian NGO, in the framework of a project with the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (ЕASPD, www.easpd.eu).

The questionnaire is available at:
https://goo.gl/forms/3y03zAWKhq4CQ62j1

It takes approximately 15 minutes to complete the survey. Your answers are collected anonymously.

Your participation is extremely important! The information gathered in the survey will be used to improve the European policies for social service provision for people with disabilities.

Please, share the questionnaire with your colleagues working for Social Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities – managers, speech-language therapists, psychologists, special education teachers, etc. There is no limit for the number of people from one and the same institution that can participate in the study.

Thank you for your participation!

4. Capture your voice with Message banking

From Natasha Roberts, Smartbox Ltd:

Message banking is now available in Grid 3. The new message banking features will enable people who still have speech to record personal messages directly into Grid 3.

Our updated Fast Talker 3 grid set features a message banking grid, where you can find your recorded messages and speak them again with only a few selections.

You can find out more here: https://thinksmartbox.com/news/message-banking/

We'd also like to share this moving interview with Jenny Baylis, who is living with MND. She talks with Richard Cave from the MND Association, about how important capturing your voice can be at the early stages of any condition that will affect speech: https://youtu.be/URLVXHruuzU
