AAC Evidence Base Research Project: August 2011 Update

The members of the research team will be at the Communication Matters CM2011 National Conference in September. We are looking forward to sharing the work we have done so far and getting comments and feedback:

  • Manchester Metropolitan University will lead an interactive session about the development of the online AAC Evidence Base. During the session there will be a demonstration of a prototype version of the AAC Evidence Base.
  • The University of Sheffield and Barnsley Hospital will report on the progress of their research into evidence of need for AAC and mapping service provision. This will include key findings from the systematic literature review and emerging themes.
  • There will be a display about the project and more information about Communication Matters’ Research Involvement Network.

If you are a person who uses AAC, a family member, carer or practitioner, and would like to participate in the research, please contact the Research Manager to register your interest.
