Summary

This presentation will follow seven students with various disabilities as they learn how to communicate using Augmentative Alternative Communication (AAC).

Case study video clips, some of which follow particular students for 5 years, show the strategies used and progress made. Strategies for successful classroom and daily activity integration will also be discussed.

This presentation will also highlight the effects of successful AAC use on the behaviour and emotional states of the case study individuals.
