The Aidis Trust specialises in assistive computer technology for the disabled. Its aim is to help people, regardless of their disability, to gain the most from today’s computer technology. It is an independent charity with over 35 years of experience working with assistive computer technology.

The Aidis Trust charity provides FREE advice and technical support to disabled people, and people who support them, across the UK. Its mission is to improve independence for disabled people through using assistive computer technology such as larger keyboards, head pointers or specialist software such as magnification and screen-reading software for the visually impaired. Aidis Trust works with local, regional and national organisations to ensure that the best possible support is provided through its services.

Its free services are designed to make clear what assistive technology is available, how it can work and how it can benefit those who require it:

  • Helpline which offers support to disabled people with technical issues. Aidis Trust technical advisors offer assessments, giving impartial advice on assistive technology to suit an individual’s needs. In addition, the helpline staff offer support on all aspects of computing, using the latest technical support technology.
  • Free training and awareness courses to disability groups and organisations, carers and parents to demonstrate how hardware adaptations and specialist software can enable a disabled person to use a computer effectively.
  • Website which provides alternative help and support through a live chat, Facebook and Twitter.
