Summary

A number of organisations, practitioners and researchers have highlighted the need for improvement in the teaching of literacy to students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) including those who rely on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

A five day intensive literacy course is planned for April 2016 but numbers will be limited and there is a need to disseminate good practice throughout the UK. This meeting will be an opportunity to register your interest in being part of a federation of organisations, practitioners and researcher who want to work together to improve access to literacy.
