
The Communication Matters National Symposium is the UK’s leading annual AAC event embracing a wide range of presentations relating to Augmentative and Alternative Communication.
With over 380 delegates every year, the Symposium provides a dynamic forum to meet and exchange information with representatives from all disciplines associated with AAC, including people who use AAC, parents and carers.

There will be two morning and two afternoon sessions, and you will be able to choose from up to eight presentations running concurrently.
There will also be an extensive Trade Exhibition featuring most of the UK’s leading suppliers of AAC products, an Internet Café, social events, and more.

CM2008 will begin with a plenary session and the Communication Matters Annual Meeting at 4pm on Sunday 21 September 2008, and presentations will be held on 22 & 23 September. The Symposium will end at 4.30pm on Tuesday 23 September.
The Symposium will be at The Gilbert Murray Conference Centre, Leicester University.
Leicester University is fully wheelchair accessible, and will be able to accommodate more delegates than ever.
Full Residential registration fee is £395 (only £345 if you pay before 31 July) and covers ensuite accommodation in student residences (newly opened) for two nights, two breakfasts, two lunches, refreshments and one buffet dinner and the conference dinner.
