Lightwriter Communication Aids Lightwriters are text-to-speech based aids, available in both keyboard models for direct entry and scanning models operated by a switch using any movement over which the user has good voluntary motor control. Lightwriters are extremely easy to use and are specifically designed with the needs of the disabled in mind. The use of Lightwriters may be extended by connection to printer and telephone to increase the user's independence.
adVOCAte Communication Aid adVOCAte is a new digital recording communication aid designed to be truly portable and small enough for children to handle, and rugged enough to endure the use it will encounter. With the ability to store 128 messages it can be configured from 1 to 16 locations, and can be accessed by both direct selection (with either keypad or external switches) and by switch scanning access. Auditory prompting is an optional feature. It has 5 levels: 4 levels with single selection and 1 level with key linking. A total of 16 minutes of high quality recording is provided with up to 2 minutes recording per location. AdVOCAte+ has all the features above plus the ability to store and transmit infra red codes to provide environmental control.

The Vocaflex is a symbol-based digital recording aid , providing high quality digitised speech in a compact, easy-to-use device. It has user friendly, easy to change overlays and is extremely portable.
Voice Amplifliers We also distribute the range of Voice Amplifiers manufactured by FalckVital in Norway. These new Voice Amplifiers are designed to a very high specification, are simple to use, and a lightweight design; and are an outstanding success in Scandinavia.
Cognitive Products A new area for TCL is our distribution of Cognitive products also manufactured by FalckVital in Norway. These two products are designed for people who have difficulty managing time: The DayPlanner is a wall mounted electronic whiteboard which shows the day's activities and provides visual indication of relative time. Alarms can be set to inform that it is time to undertake any particular activity. The Memory Message is a small portable device which provides a spoken message when a particular activity should be undertaken.
